The Building
Located at 219 Louisiana Avenue, which is the “main drag”
thru historic Perrysburg, this site was selected because the area had
a wonderful neighborhood feel to it. The building was built in the 1880’s
by a German immigrant family named Lucas who operated a general store
there (perhaps a mysterious relation to the current owner?!?).
Over the years the building has housed an ice cream parlor, pizza shop
and hamburger emporium. Most locals fondly remember Margaret Brodsky who
ran a restaurant here for many years. Though the current café is
very different than the restaurants it has housed in the past, the recent
renovations to the space brought the storefront back to much of its original
look.
